Organic tamanu nut oil (Calophyllum inophyllum)

Tamanu oil is pressed from the dark chocolate-brown kernels of the tamanu tree, which grows abundantly along the coastlines of the Pacific Islands. Tamanu oil has traditionally been used to care for damaged, dry and irritated skin and is particularly interesting because of its content of fatty acids and characteristic plant compounds.

It contributes nourishing and emollient lipids and is used in Ambrosia as part of the regenerating, soothing and barrier-supporting botanical oil base.

Organic rosehip seed oil (Rosa rubiginosa)

Rosehip seed oil is pressed from the seeds of the red, berry-like fruits of wild rose bushes. The oil is rich in essential fatty acids and natural plant compounds and is especially valued in skincare for mature and sun-exposed skin.

It helps maintain skin suppleness, supports a more even skin texture and contributes to Ambrosia’s BioRetinol / vitamin A profile.

Organic patchouli leaf oil (Pogostemon cablin)

Pure essential oil from patchouli leaves is traditionally used to care for dry, mature and unbalanced skin.

In Ambrosia, patchouli contributes especially balancing and conditioning properties and complements the other botanical ingredients in supporting skin comfort, texture and vitality.

Organic neroli flower oil (Citrus aurantium ssp. amara)

Large quantities of orange blossoms are needed to produce neroli oil. The oil is steam-distilled from the small white flowers of the bitter orange tree.

Neroli is valued in skincare for its aromatic and conditioning qualities and is used especially in products for mature, dry or stressed skin. In Ambrosia, it contributes to skin suppleness, radiance and the overall sensory experience.

Organic Helichrysum / Immortelle flower oil (Helichrysum italicum)

Helichrysum oil is extracted from the plant’s flowers and is well known in traditional botanical skincare.

It is used especially in formulations for delicate, stressed and mature skin, where its soothing botanical compounds support the skin’s natural renewal and comfort.

Organic jojoba seed oil (Simmondsia chinensis)

Jojoba is rich in vitamin E/tocopherols, phytosterols and natural wax esters. Its key strength is its high biocompatibility with the skin’s own sebum, as jojoba’s long-chain wax esters resemble components of the skin’s natural lipid environment.

It therefore supports the skin barrier, helps reduce moisture loss and maintains skin suppleness and balance. In Ambrosia, it acts as a biomimetic lipid partner particularly well suited to dry, mature, sensitive and unbalanced skin.

Organic carrot seed CO₂ extract (Daucus carota)

Carrot seed extract is produced by supercritical CO₂ extraction of carrot seeds. The low extraction temperatures help preserve a range of the seeds’ lipophilic botanical compounds.

The extract is particularly interesting for mature and tired-looking skin and contributes to Ambrosia’s botanical antioxidant and BioRetinol profile. It supports radiance, skin tone and a more vital-looking complexion.

Organic rosemary CO₂ leaf extract (Rosmarinus officinalis)

A concentrated botanical extract made from rosemary leaves.

Rosemary contains potent antioxidant plant compounds, including carnosic acid and carnosol, and is used in the formulation to help protect the oils and the skin from oxidative stress.

In Ambrosia, rosemary supports skin structure, vitality and antioxidant defence and works in synergy with the other botanical oils and CO₂ extracts.

Organic calendula / marigold CO₂ flower extract (Calendula officinalis)

Supercritical CO₂ extraction allows a concentrated fraction of the marigold flower’s lipophilic plant compounds to be extracted at relatively low temperatures.

Calendula is known for its triterpenes, carotenoids and other botanical compounds and is used especially in skincare for sensitive, dry and stressed skin.

In Ambrosia, calendula rounds out the formula with soothing, emollient and barrier-supporting care, helping the skin maintain comfort, suppleness and balance.
